Warning Description: Special Statement Warning Date: 6:07 am EST on January 28, 2012/ WarningSum:...Secondary Roadways May Be Slick This Morning... Warning Message:Snow has or will end shortly for all of northeastern Illinois and northwestern Indiana. Increasing westerly winds and clearing skies will allow temperatures to quickly fall below freezing this morning. Roadways that were wet from the earlier snow and melt off...run the risk of freezing...and many reports of vehicles in ditches have been noted this morning on untreated roadways as well as other surfaces that may be prone to quick freezing...such as bridges and overpasses. Temperatures will warm by early afternoon...ending the slick roadway threat. size=1>
